Programs
There are three primary programs to The Space that we are focused on creating.
Program 1: A number of multi-instrumental songwriters from the community will be selected by a committee to participate in the program. Each artist will envision and create a project in The Space, under the guidance of advisors and through collaboration of other artists in The Space. Advisors will lend to the support system by nurturing these projects along the way, and assisting with the execution of the plan. In The Space the ball is placed firmly in the artist’s court.
Program 2: Because The Space is also committed to developing future generations of artists, a second curriculum will be based on providing free music education to young persons who can not afford to obtain these resources within the community. The Space will match students with the appropriate instructor and will pay instructors for each lesson, furnished through the program. Lessons will include both private and group sessions. Teaching opportunities will be first offered to artist-participants first, but as the program grows these spaces will be made available to local instructors.
Program 3: Seminars, Master Classes, and workshops will be provided regularly as an educational resource for artists, advisers, members, and community members. Both industry professionals and artists will have opportunities to create, host, and lecture on a broad range of topics pertaining to the growth of the music community. The Space will also collaborate with other programs that run similar workshops as a way to expand our network.
